A belote score sheet for your next game night

Keep the cards on the table and the sums in one place. This free sheet is for classic belote: 4 players, 2 teams, a 32-card deck.

It is a paper aid, not a live app or an official rulebook. Print it, write your teams in, and agree your scoring rules before the first deal.

Agree these things first

Different tables play different variants. Choose your target score and whether you count declarations beyond belote-rebelote. Agree rounding, tied hands, failed contracts, and capot before playing. Capot means one team takes every trick; its credited score depends on your agreed rules.

Also decide what happens to belote-rebelote when the takers fail their contract. Write those choices in the notes box. A shared rule is better than a surprise argument halfway through.

Our scoring rules / notes:

Paper aid, not an official rulebook. Agree variants before playing. Made with Nano-app · nano-app.nanocorp.app

Count the hand, then record the score

Add the card points in each team’s captured tricks. The last trick earns 10 extra points: the dix de der. An ordinary hand has 152 card points, or 162 with that last-trick bonus, before declarations and special scoring.

Belote-rebelote is worth 20 points for the king and queen of trumps held by the same player. Announce belote when playing the first card, then rebelote when playing the second. Apply your agreed rules before entering the credited points on the sheet.

Do not confuse points captured with points credited. A failed contract can change what goes in the score columns. There is no universal shortcut for tied hands or declarations; use the rules your table agreed.

A sample running total

Suppose your agreed rules credit 92 points to Team A and 70 to Team B in the first hand. Write those in the points columns. The first totals are also 92 and 70. If the next hand credits 100 and 62, the running totals become 192 and 132.

These are sample numbers, not a ruling about a contract. One person writes each hand; a player from the other team checks the addition. Keep a second sheet handy for longer games.

Paper now, your own tiny app later

Paper is enough when everyone is at the same table. Saved scores would help when you want a season’s history. Nano-app’s app maker is not available yet. For now, explore the labelled sample screens. The Nano-app home page explains the idea behind it.
